Joint Degree Shared Courses Request Form

This form is for JD/master's joint degree students to declare which classes they wish to "share" or count toward both degrees.

Shared courses must be approved for both JD and master's credit. The credits from these courses will count toward both the JD and the master's degrees. If you request to share a class after the last class meeting, the grade will only count toward the original GPA, not both GPAs.

Students in the MARJ program may share a maximum of 9 credits. Students in the MCEP and MERL programs may share a maximum of 12 credits. Students in the MPP program who matriculated before May 1, 2025, may share a max of 14 credits. Students in the MPP program who matriculated after May 1, 2025, may share a maximum of 18 credits.
